-- They will discuss the history and current regulatory and payment framework for ABA services,
followed by a Roundtable Discussion lead by:

Kristina Turner, MSEd, BCBA, LBA (Director of ABA and Behavior Supports, Intercept Health)
Heidi Smith (State Director for ABA, Family Insight)
Meredith Eads (Director of Developmental Services, Dominion Care)

-- They will discuss how ABA services are typically delivered, to whom and in what settings, and how they can complement other Medicaid services. How the new rate structures effective 12/1/2021 have enabled increased quality of care through increased supervision of behavior technicians. This session will be educational and informative to ABA providers and non-ABA providers alike.

VISION FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENT SERVICES: New Federal Guidance, State Action and Approaches to Meet the Growing Needs of Virginia Kids

-- Work with prisoner re-entry programs and other efforts to decrease crime and recidivism
-- Efforts to support victims of domestic violence, working collaboratively with other agencies

Introduction to Medicaid MCO Contracting and Cardinal Care

Katie Vatalaro Hill, MPH, CHES (Health Plan Analyst, Integrated Care, DMAS)

This session will offer an overview on the Medallion and CCC Plus contracts between DMAS and the Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs), how providers can better understand what is in the contracts and what is not, where there’s flexibility for MCO discretion and where all MCOs must operate in a consistent manner, how DMAS enforces the contracts and what tools are available when an MCO is out of compliance, and how understanding the performance improvement and success measures in the contracts may help providers to better collaborate with the MCOs by helping to support their goals.
