Elevate

The VACBP provides opportunities to elevate our members as the “gold standard” in the provider community through implementation of best practices, delivery of measurable, outcome-based care while maintaining the highest in ethical conduct and standards.

How are we working to "elevate" our members?

Promoting diversity, equity and inclusion through the OneVACBP initiative.
Launched in June 2020, the OneVACBP initiative is focused on fighting racism and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion. The resolution approved by the VACBP Board is available here. Within the OneVACBP  initiative, a workgroup has been established to develop strategies to promote diversity, equity and inclusion both within our association and our members. For more information about this important initiative, click here.

Ensuring all members sign the “member commitment statement” — All VACBP members must sign a member commitment prior to officially joining the association. In signing this statement our members are committing to a range of items, including implementing best practices, evaluating internal performance on a consistent basis, maintaining a written ethical code of conduct, aggressively working to identify and eliminate Medicaid fraud and misuse of the system, complying with all applicable regulations and advocating for the rights of clients. To see the full member commitment statement, click here.

Providing resources to increase awareness and help members comply with applicable regulations. Through the VACBP’s Ethics Initiative, providers are able to access the VACBP’s Ethics Resource Library, participate in regional roundtable discussions with licensing and human rights representatives, access valuable ethics-focused training content and more.

Sharing information about best practices, trauma-informed care, evidence-based practices and other resources to enable our members and their staff to perform at the highest level.

The VACBP takes ethical conduct seriously and so do our members.

In addition, the VACBP’s Ethics Initiative was launched in 2018 to to elevate our members by providing support as they seek to provide the highest level of ethical behavior in the delivery of care.
