Support |
The VACBP provides valuable resources to meet the needs of our members, such as training, vendor relationships and discounts, referral sources, recruitment and retention support, and assistance in working with payers and regulators. Support for members with MCO challenges In response to member requests, the VACBP has established an MCO Issues Initiative to help our members identify and address challenges they are experiencing in their work with the CCC Plus and Medallion 4 MCOs. Challenges range from an increase in authorization denials, communications challenges, processing delays and errors, significant and increasing administrative burdens on providers, inconsistent processes and unclear interpretations within and among the MCOs, inconsistent payment and a lack of an understanding of services by those authorizing/denying authorizations. For more information or to participate in this initiative, contact Mindy Carlin. Please note — participation is limited to VACBP members. Escalation support on specific issues with the MCOs The VACBP staff has worked hard to develop relationships with each of the six CCC Plus and Medallion 4 MCOs and Magellan of Virginia. While we encourage our members to work directly with the individual MCOs as issues arise we can also be a resource to help escalate an issue when outreach through the regular communications channels isn’t working. VACBP members can request support when they are unable to resolve their issue working with the MCO directly by completing our MCO Issue Escalation Form. To help us assist you, we ask that you provide as much information as you can about the issue you are experiencing and we will let you know if and how we can help. Looking for a new insurance broker? We hope you’ll consider using the VACBP’s preferred insurance vendor, Ben Winters with Winters-Oliver Insurance. For more information, check out our preferred vendor page here. Training Resources The VACBP maintains a Training/Webinar Resource Schedule for our members. See below for some additional resources that may be helpful for you and/or your agency. Aware of additional training opportunities that may be of interest? Send them to Mindy Carlin. Human Rights |
